STILES Mothers Day: Madam CJ Walker
The Stiles African American Heritage Center hosted a Saturday Afternoon Tea Plant Exchange to honor Madam CJ Walker. Volunteers planted native plants in the garden, focusing on community collaboration without a strict plan. They aim to promote biodiversity and support pollinators, sharing plants and seeds with neighbors to enhance local ecosystems.

STILES – Celebrating Mothers: Madam CJ Walker
The Stiles African American Heritage Center will host a Plant Exchange and Mother’s Day card-making event on May 13th from 2-4pm. Attendees can exchange plants significant to them, while honoring Madam CJ Walker’s legacy. Art materials will be provided to create cards celebrating mothers, supported by the Puffin Foundation.
